Charming, with ripe berry and maraschino cherry flavors that are bright and appealing. Clove, cinnamon and dark chocolate highlights linger on a smooth frame.

Medium to deep red/purple bright colour; the bouquet spicy, fresh earth and subdued raspberry fruit. The wine is medium-bodied and savoury, with more savoury and matured flavours than fresh, bright, jubey fruit. It's soft but drying on the tongue. A good wine and quite a different style to the sibling Yangarra grenaches. (Made from 54-year-old grenache vines on the property, planted before the Hickinbothams owned it. 473 cases made) the longer the wine is aerated. A wonderful glass of red wine.

Plush plum, licorice and black tea notes show fresh accents of herbs, cedar and tobacco, adding a spicy flourish. Tannins firm up on the finish, lending a bold punctuation point to the flavors.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2014 Trueman Cabernet Sauvignon has cassis and dried mint on the nose, with chocolate, violets, crème de cassis and blackberry tart flavors. Full-bodied an opulently fruited, this is nonetheless a and very fresh Cabernet, possessing nice grainy tannins and great length.

A rich red and blue fruited style with a sweet-smelling oak-infused nose, some distinct eucalypt notes at the edge too, fresh leafy elements, some fig fruit, bright and lively. The palate has a terrific core of velvety fruit, really supple, smooth and even, tannins just register above the flesh, great balance here, red plum and blueberry flavors with toasty oak spices to close.

Dark and supple with rich blackberry and plum fruit; tangy, crisp and juicy with spice and depth; tangy, long and stylish.

By far the least expensive and largest-production (800 cases) of Hartford's single-vineyard Chardonnays, Stone Cote is no weak sister. It features a lovely complex boquet of toast and meal, butter and cinnamon, apples and lemons, and viscous, rich mouthfeel.

Bright medium ruby. Intriguing, highly aromatic nose combines tart dark berries, smoked meat and espresso. Thick, rich, deep and concentrated; conveys an impressively full, sweet impression. Finishes with ripe, even tannins. I like this!

The 1999 Pinot Noir Velvet Sisters Vineyard comes from the cooler northern area of Anderson Valley. Made from such clones as Dijon #115 and Pommard, this dark ruby-colored offering exhibits a sweet, raspberry, brown sugar-like bouquet as well as smoky, attractively integrated toasty scents, medium to full body, decent acidity, and outstanding purity and ripeness. Sixty percent new French oak was utilized during the aging process. While accessible, it promises to drink well for 5-8 years.

Light coral color; medium-light, fragrant, strawberry and cherry fruit aroma; medium body; crisp, bright, red fruit flavors with good acid balance, some mineral notes, and a slight richness in the pleasing mouthfeel; lingering aftertaste. Very highly recommended.

Very light pinkish orange in the glass. Aromas of strawberry and pink grapefruit with flavors echoing the nose with added notes of blood orange and orange peel. Bright with a dry finish. Jeff says, “Everybody wants it,” and I understand why.

Dark ruby/purple-colored offers up a sweet nose of ripe, jammy black-cherries and toast, as well as round, generous, medium to full-bodied, highly extracted flavors, good acidity for definition and vibrancy, and a spicy, sweet, round finish.

Unabashedly rich, with exotic flavors and elegant Russian River Valley styling. This is powerful stuff - from its dark, saturated color to the unusual aromas of ginger, nutmeg, sumac and thick black raspberry fruit. Add new French oak, and it's also pretty sensual. The mouthfeel is lighter than expected, with a tangy, pomegranate-like flavor - juicy, tart, dry and tannic.

Sense with lovely spice and rounded fruit; ripe and long.

Bright red with a purplish rim. Medium-bodied. Highly extracted. Mildly oaked. Mildly tannic. Cherries, red berries, minerals. Youthful bright fruity palate with a rounded midpalate carried by good acidity and warm astringent notes on the finish.

Smoky and spicy; velvety texture and a long finish; elegant and pretty.

The wine is a blend of various vineyards located in the far Sonoma Coast. This origin shows in the brisk acidity, keen minerality and overall bracing structure of this ripe, succulent wine. It brims with wild raspberry and cherry, roasted coconut, white chocolate, anise and toasty oak flavors that last for a full minute into the finish. It’s probably at its best now.

This bright red colored Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley was well-received by our tasting group. It opens with a very fragrant ripe red raspberry bouquet with hints of red plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and quite approachable. The flavor profile is a tasty spiced plum with notes of minerality. I also detected hints of black raspberry and black tea. The finish is dry and its mild tannins drift away nicely. This Pinot is versatile and food friendly. I would pair it with a pork chop.

Enjoyable to drink now and over the next two to four years. Very highly recommended.

The 2015 Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley) is a lovely appellation wine. Juicy, forward and delicious, the 2015 is everything one could ask for in an appellation level Pinot. Once again, the purity of the flavors is striking.

The 2014 Pinot Noir Land's Edge Vineyards is plump, juicy and approachable. Floral and savory notes add aromatic lift to the intense dark fruit, yet this remains an especially succulent Pinot for the Sonoma Coast.
